Water is a key issue in the conflict between Israelis, Palestinians and Jordanians in the Middle East. In a series of events over several years, Prospex worked directly with high-level stakeholders from all sides, bringing them into one room. Prospex designed and facilitated a process of developing future scenarios on water in the region which were created by participants with top level scientific input as part of the GLOWA Jordan Project, funded by the German Ministry for Education and Research.
The process enabled participants to openly address and discuss the key issues of concern between the parties while putting this into a future perspective. Participants developed a range of strategies on how the issues could be solved, while equally answering the significant ecological and economic challenges for the region. The outcomes have led to shared action between the parties and continue to fuel an on-going exchange contributing to the delicate movement towards peace in the region.
