On 17 June 2015 the BEWATER Consortium partners met key local stakeholders in Santa Maria de Palautordera, in Catalonia, Spain, for the second round of BeWater Stakeholder Workshops on the Tordera river basin. The event has been professionally designed and facilitated by Prospex.
A group of 17 key river basin stakeholders took part in a day-long workshop to contribute to the evaluation of the Water Management Options developed through a participative process launched last year. Adaptative forest management agreements, the implementation of an environmental flow regime and improved spaces for participation were supported as key options.
BeWater is a three-year and a half coordination and support research project, funded under the EU FP7 programme, aiming at establishing four separate water adaptation plans to global climate change for four distinct case study river basins around the Mediterranean, including La Tordera.
